More scrappy creations

HEAD OVER TO CRAFTING IN STYLE THIS WEEKEND FOR A SURPRISE SCRAP CHALLENGE click here for more details.

Have been doing a fair bit of scrapping lately.

Crafting in Style's title comp for november:
Thought this was perfect for Luke hehe.

Here' the card I made for Micayla's birthday using the card sketch:

This was my example for the Bits and Pieces challenge for november, that comp is still running til December 15 if you would like to enter, click here:
I also ran my first online class over at CIS on the 1st December. Here's the layout and gift box that we made. Your'e still able to get access over here .
Scrapboutique also had their cybercrop the other week and I actually managed to get all the challenges done, was lots of fun :)
Chelsey's speed scrap: (this was done in less than an hour!!)
Liz's mini card challenge, which gave me some great inspiration for Macey's birthday card :)

Kate's challenge was you had to journal over 20 words and use a very special memory as your theme.

Liz's sketch challenge and you had to include elements starting with the letters of REMEMBER.
Manon's Sunday Roast:

And here was the card I made for Bailey and Josh's birthday.

This is for a Build it up comp over at Scrapbook captial, where every week they give you an element to include on your page and you have to add the last week's one to the current week. Last week was ribbon and I'm working on this week's which is ribbon and rub bon.

I am working on a few projects at the moment for Christmas, but I'll share them after Christmas :)
That's for popping in on my scrappy business :)

My First class!!

I am holding my first ever class at Crafting in Style on Monday 1st December at 7:30pm AEDST. Would love to see you come along and join in. It's a Christmas themed one to get you ready for Christmas day. You will learn a really cool way to make a beautiful gift box and a layout to insert pictures for this Christmas or scrap photos from last Christmas. Including getting the most out of your pp by making your own embellies.
You can use your own stash or I will have a supply list from the shop with plenty of time for delivery before the class.

The class costs $5 for moderated access and full step by step instructions.

Click on the image below to direct you to the CIS forum to join along.

The latest

I had my first ever cybercrop with Crafting in Style as a Design team Member. That meant I had to come up with an OTP challenge, scrap up some samples and help host it. I also held a guessing game and gave away a little RAK. So my challenge was to decorate and/or design a door hanger for any room in your house, they had to include atleast two buttons and atleast two ribbons. Oh yeh the theme was "Buttons and Bows":

So here is my door hanger:

Karen had the technique challenge and she taught the girls how to create your own ribbons using pp and here was the layout I created for that:

Manon had the sketch challenge and I created two for that I we were supposed to include one of three of the fashion quotes, so here is the first one without the quote:

and here is the one WITH the quote lol

Oh yeh and then they have a "challenge the DT" where the CISters have to come up with three criteria to challenge us - this month was to use bling, flourishes and felt. Here's what I created:

It was a great weekend and it seemed to work well over in the the new 'ning' site, so come along for the next one if you haven't already. Or check out the monthly challenges.

Here's my take on the monthly title comp:

The journalling reads " he eats like a horse, he drinks like a camel, he sleeps like a sloth, he nuzzles like a wombat, he screams like a hyena and he likes eating DOG FOOD!"

Here's my take on the monthly card sketch and you can check out all the card goss on the blog.

There is also a class coming up over at CIS called
funtabulous flowers
It's $5 for the access and Ally will teach you the many different ways to make the most of your flowers, no supplies needed, just your own stash.
I'll also have a class coming up soon for Christmas, I'll explain more on that later.

In other scrappy news, I managed to get one layout done for Scrap Therapy's cc.

And that's about it on the scrappy front, thanks for visiting :)

HUGE NEWS!!!

I got some very exciting news on saturday from Ally at CIS!! I was one of the two accepted to be part of the new Design Team!! YAY this my first every DT to be part of and I can't wait to get stuck into it. I already have my first assignment for the cybercrop this weekend, so that will be heaps of fun!
Crafting in Style have also moved their forum across to a NING platform, it's a bit like facebook but heaps better. There's so many applications there, including making friends, forum, online chat, groups, events etc, so come over, register and have some fun with us :D
While I'm on the CIS topic here are my monthly LO's for the October comps:

This is the new Bits and Pieces comp:

Now over to Scrap Boutique, where I had heaps of fun at their october cc.

This one was a bonus challenge, to scraplift one of Chel's LOs:

I also had lots of fun making this OTP mini album for Liz's birthday

Anyway there's my share for a little while :D

A quick share

The next STUCK layout has gone up today, so thought I would share the version I did :D

And I just finished the monthly sketch challenge for CIS...

My latest scrapping pages

Thought I would start another blog just for my scrapping. My little hobby of creating albums for the family has become a nice little addiction and a great way to occupy my mind.

I have been participating on a few online challenges so I will share them with you. Firstly Crafting in Style ran a 6 week Ready Steady Scrap competition. This was were they would give you the 'ingredients' or what you could only use on your layout and you had to come up with a page using those items. Here are my entries for that:

They also had their October cybercrop which was themed 'Sweets and Treats'. I was only able to get one of the challenges done as I was pre-occupied with my little nephew being born and we went away for the weekend. But here is what I did for the sketch challenge.

They still have their monthly 'Title' and 'Sketch' competition for October and also a new bi-monthly challenge called 'Piece it Together'.

Scrap Therapy is another forum I like to hang around on and they have some fantastic challenges this month. So, here some that I did for September:

Julie's inspiration:

Manufacturer of the month (Sassafrass lass): (and YAY I won this one :D)

September cybercrop: (and double YAY won this one too :D)

For their October cc I got 3 out of 4 of their challenges done and here they are:

I snuck in another challenge at the last minute for Artypants which was a sketch challenge:

And lastly I have applied to be part of the CT for STUCK sketches and they are doing a four week competition and here are my first 2 pages. I have done the third week but can't share that one until after tuesday :D

Here are some other pages that I have done over a couple of months. I think some are from when I won the chance to be on the CIS sketch blog.
This one was for Scrapping the Music, where you scrap a page using the title or lyrics of the song.
Oh yeh and Diva and I had a Christmas card making night one night and made HEAPS of cards using our Stampin' Up stamps we bought. It was great fun. Here's one that I did, but I won't show you anymore as it may spoil the surprise for Christmas ;)

Anyway thanks for checking out my scrapbooking blog and feel free to leave any comments :
